Lisa Shull

Originally from Missoula, Lisa Shull was immersed in music from a very early age. Through her father’s connection with the University of Montana, she began her musical training with Eugene Andrie in the pilot Suzuki program. In addition, Lisa spent many hours in the studio of Gerald Doty learning valuable music and life lessons. She attended Lewis and Clark College where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Music Education. During this time, she had the privilege of working with Reinhard Pauly, Lillian Fuchs, Jacob Avshalomov, and Gary McLaughlin. Lisa is currently a middle school string teacher in the Great Falls Public Schools system where she shares her love of music with her students. Recently, Lisa returned to the classroom at Montana State University where she earned her Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction. Lisa is a past president of the Montana Chapter of the American String Teachers Association and is active within the state chapter of the National Association for Music Education. When not teaching or making music, Lisa enjoys outdoor activities with family and friends.
