The final performance of our 40th Anniversary season honors SOR’s pioneering founding members and the up-and-coming generation of young musicians who will be the next faces of SOR for the next 40 years.
We continue to celebrate the boundless creativity that we all love about American music in two popular works by Copland, the powerfully moving Barber Adagio for Strings, and a special orchestra arrangement of the American quartet by Antonin Dvorak. Our program opens with the Third Brandenburg Concerto of JS Bach—a work included in the first SOR performance in 1985. Come and join the musical party!
