Amy Letson is originally from Buffalo, NY, where she studied viola and violin with members of the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra. After receiving her degree in viola performance from Indiana University, Amy served as principal violist in the Bloomington Symphony and as a section player in the Anderson and Muncie symphonies and the Marion Philharmonic. Currently, she is principal violist of the Billings Symphony, a member of the Yellowstone Chamber Players, and maintains a small private studio. When not playing viola, she enjoys dancing and calling contra dances, learning old-time fiddle, flatfooting, knitting, and reading.
