Margaret Baldridge – Violin, Orchestra Leader

​Dr. Margaret Nichols Baldridge combines an extensive performance calendar with an active teaching schedule. Dr. Baldridge’s diverse performances include concerts and educational outreach with The Sapphire Trio across the United States and abroad. This year the Sapphire Trio celebrates its 21st anniversary. The Trio is planning an anniversary tour with upcoming trips to Paris and other parts of the world. Since 2010, Dr. Baldridge and The Sapphire Trio have performed in Colombia, Palestine, Israel, Italy, and Spain. Dr. Baldridge received outstanding reviews for her 2012 performances at The Park City Chamber Music Festival and her performances in Baton Rouge with The Sapphire Trio. From 1998 to 2008, Dr. Baldridge was a member of the Artist Faculty at the Brevard Music Center in North Carolina. Dr. Baldridge is concertmaster of the Missoula Symphony and leader of the String Orchestra of the Rockies. A violin and viola professor at the University of Montana since 1992, Dr. Baldridge is also a highly sought-after teacher across Montana and the Northwest. Dr. Baldridge earned her Doctor of Musical Arts and Bachelor of Music degrees from The Eastman School of Music and her Master of Music degree from Northwestern University.
