Mary Kamack Kothman, violin, is an adjunct professor of music at Montana State University, assistant concertmaster of the Bozeman Symphony Orchestra, member of the String Orchestra of the Rockies and the Big Sky Classical Music Festival, and has performed with the Billings Symphony Orchestra. Before moving to Bozeman, she was the concertmaster of the Muncie Symphony Orchestra for thirteen years and an adjunct professor of violin at Taylor University and Ball State University. In Indiana, Mary performed frequently with the Indianapolis Chamber Orchestra and the Fort Wayne Philharmonic, as well as doing studio recordings across the state. Mary is a former member of the Austin Symphony and has also performed with the Royal Orchestra, Stockholm, the San Diego Symphony and the Naples Philharmonic. She has served on the faculty of the Interlochen Arts Camp and is the former conductor of the Beginning Strings Orchestra of the San Diego Civic Youth Orchestra. Mary holds a BM and MM in violin performance from the University of Texas at Austin where she studied with Vincent Frittelli.
